For Men
The Kameez Shalwar for men is a traditional garment worn by men in South and Central Asia (Pakistan and India). It consists of a long shirt called a kameez and loose trousers called a shalwar. The shirt can have different styles of cuffs, collar/ban collar, pockets, and embroidery. Shalwar can be plain or fancy. This dress can be worn for casual, formal, or casual occasions.
For kameez and shalwar, mostly Cotton, wash-n-wear, and Khaddar fabric are chosen, besides Silk, Jamawar (Jacquard), and hand embroidery are chosen for wedding occasions.
Sherwani originated in South Asia in the 18th century and was widely used in the late 19th century. The sherwani evolved from the Persian cloth (balaba or chapkin), which was gradually given an Indian style (angarkha) and eventually evolved into the old buttoned sherwani after European fashion.
It originated from the European court dress of the Mughal princes and the royal families of northern India and was widely adopted. It became famous in the city of Lucknow. It was gradually adopted by other royal families and leaders of India, and then ordinary people took it as a traditional dress to try on, and it gradually became a wedding dress. Today, every groom would consider a wedding incomplete without a wedding dress.
